Cookie Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser and reads back on later visits. Cookies help websites remember what you have done and measure how they are used. This policy explains which cookies zirconconsultants.org uses and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

How We Use Cookies

This website is deliberately light on cookies. It does not use advertising or social media tracking cookies, and browsing the site does not require you to log in or accept anything to make it work.

The cookies we set ourselves are analytics cookies from Google Analytics, which we use to understand how visitors find and use the site, for example which pages are read most and how people move between them. These statistics are aggregated and do not identify you personally.

One page, our contact page, also embeds a Google Map so you can find our offices. That map is loaded directly from Google, which means Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies in your browser when you open that page. This happens only on the contact page, and only Google can read those cookies. If you would rather it did not load, do not open the contact page, or block third-party cookies for google.com in your browser using the guides below.

The Cookies We Use

Google Analytics sets the following cookies on our site:

  • _ga, kept for up to 2 years: distinguishes one visitor from another using a randomly generated identifier.
  • _ga_*, kept for up to 2 years: remembers the state of your current browsing session for our specific Google Analytics property.

These cookies are set by Google and the data they collect is processed by Google Analytics on our behalf. You can read more in Google's cookie documentation.

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, Cap. 411C, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation where it applies, analytics cookies rely on your consent. You are free to refuse or remove them, and doing so will not affect your ability to use any part of this website.

How to Control and Delete Cookies

Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually from its settings or preferences menu. These guides cover the most common browsers:

For mobile browsers, check the settings section of the browser app or your handset manual.

If you want to keep cookies enabled generally but opt out of Google Analytics everywhere, Google provides a browser opt-out add-on.
